Position Overview:

The Insulation laborer will install, repair, and/or remove insulation on piping, ductwork, industrial equipment, and other surfaces. They will also fabricate and install removable insulation blankets. The Insulation laborer will work with a sheet metal worker who will help select the type and size or insulation and related materials to be used according to project requirements. They will also be required to assemble and dismantle tubular and system scaffolding or other temporary structures, installing ladders, walkways and handrails at sites using a variety of tools and lifts. Must be able to apply, remove, and repair insulating material to exposed surfaces or structures, such as air ducts, hot or cold pipes, storage tanks, boilers and buildings to help control noise and maintain temperatures. Other duties may be assigned.

Familiarity with basic hand signals and basic rigging knowledge, Safety knowledge while working at heights is required. Experience with pre-engineered buildings, pole barns, metal studs, and welding a plus.
