RESPONSIBILITIES
Project planning, scheduling and coordination, including participation in work plan development
Safety and quality control management
Accurate forecasting and management of budgets
Change order management
Managing critical subcontractors and process equipment suppliers
Coordination with design consultants through design completion on Design-Build projects
Obtain and review submittals for compliance with contract documents and distribute to Owner/design consultants for formal review
Draft and submit Requests for Information as required
Assume responsible charge of process mechanical material and equipment tracking, including development of detailed takeoffs/logs and ensuring delivery prior to scheduled installation dates
Manage Project Engineers and collaborate with other Assistant Project Managers in responsible charge of other scopes of work
Resolution of problems involving labor disputes, material delivery and contract administration
Maintain vehicle, equipment, and tools management
QUALIFICATIONS
4+ years of experience
Bachelorâs degree preferred
Previous water treatment construction experience preferred
Ability to establish relationships and lead people
Specific roles may require relocation

JOB TITLE: PROJECT COORDINATOR
LOCATION: Chicago, IL
POSITION SUMMARY
Under the close direction of a construction professional, Project Coordinators perform a wide range of duties associated with a general contracting construction project from start to close out. They operate as the administrative hub of a project team.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Reprioritize workload when project shifts, ensuring schedule and assignments are clearly communicated to all necessary team members.
• Confidently communicate with all project team members including, but not limited to the Client, Architect, Engineer, Subcontractors, Project Managers and Field Personnel to coordinate and communicate project needs and requirements.
• Mange multiple requests in a timely fashion and reprioritize to meet shifting deadlines.
• Facilitate the subcontractor bid process through effective use of all technology tools.
• Administer and coordinate all documents associated with a project from the initial bid process to the project closeout.
• Able to utilize software programs and templates to fit the specific project needs, typically CMiC, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Bluebeam, ShareFile, and Outlook programs.
• Provide project support to Field Supervision.
• Actively participate in project status meetings.
• Back up other project coordinators during absence and peak workload
• Provide switchboard coverage relief.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
• Prior experience working in construction or a related field.
• High School diploma/GED. College degree preferred.
• Minimum 1-3 years of administrative experience in a fast-paced construction environment
• Solid understanding/proficiency with desktop software.
• Strong time management, written and oral communication skills, multi-tasking and organizational skills are required.
The target starting salary for this position is $30/hour. We consider many factors when determining actual hiring salary. These factors may include location, transferable skills, work experience, licensure and certification, business needs, internal equity, and market demands.

Manages internal and external Requests for Information.
Assists project management staff and estimators through procurement phase and GMP development.

BS in civil/environmental or mechanical engineering
Preferred: California Professional Engineering License
At least 5 years of Design Build construction experience in the Water/Wastewater or related industry, as either Contractor or Designer.
Salary Range: $103,000 - 155,000/Yr
