Basic Qualifications

⢠Operate a variety of vehicles and large heavy equipment while performing maintenance and repairs on roads and rights-of-way including loading, hauling and dumping on smooth to extremely rough surfaces.

⢠Trench and construct ditches for installation of culverts, water pipes and sewer pipes; remove silt and debris.
⢠Knowledgeable of equipment in respect to checking and maintaining all fluid levels and lubrication.

How you will contribute:
As a Senior Engineer, you will prepare detailed designs for HVAC, steam, and industrial process piping projects. You will perform HVAC and piping system load calculation, equipment selection, ductwork and pipe sizing, control sequence creation, and specification development. You will also provide information to our estimating team relative to bid packages and provide engineering input into the operation plans for system commissioning and start-up. You will play a lead role in customer interactions and site visits to understand building usage and internal processes, enabling you to create systems which meet the needs of each facility. On projects you design, you will create all documents for submission & permitting, and interact with field teams to ensure your designs are installed and commissioned successfully. As a Senior HVAC Engineer, you will work with DX & chilled water cooling, electric & hot water heating, low and high pressure steam, natural gas, compressed air, condenser water, commercial & industrial ventilation, and exhaust systems. Exercise your ability to multi-task as you manage multiple concurrent projects and provide assistance to Ahernâs regional offices.
What you need to qualify:
Candidates must have a Bachelorâs Degree in Mechanical Engineering, combined with 4+ years of experience in HVAC systems, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment. A Wisconsin professional engineerâs or designer of engineering systems license and proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and load calculation software are preferred. Candidates should have a strong understanding of the mechanical codes and industry standards.
