Bechtel is partnering with NextDecade to support their vision to provide the world access to lower carbon intensive energy with their Rio Grande LNG (RGLNG) project in Brownsville, Texas.RGLNG is a natural gas liquefaction and export terminal situated on a 984-acre site on the banks of the Brownsville ship channel. The first phase of the RGLNG project consists of three liquefaction trains, two storage tanks and one marine berth. At full capacity, the five-train facility will have a production capacity of 27 million tonnes per annum (MTPA).

Primary Responsibilities and Duties

• Plan, coordinate and organize people, equipment, tools and materials to promote the safe, efficient and timely construction of the project.

Project Overview:

Bechtel is the licensing, engineering, procurement, and construction partner on TerraPower’s Natrium team. Selected by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) for its Advanced Reactor Demonstration Program, Natrium is participating in a DOE initiative to re-establish U.S. leadership in nuclear energy that provides matching funding to industry to design and build an operational advanced reactor.TerraPower, a leading advanced generation technology company founded by former Microsoft CEO Bill Gates, will be deploying its 345 MWe sodium fast reactor (SFR), called Natrium. The Natrium plant features an advanced, cost-competitive reactor design that is safer, simpler, easier, and less costly to construct, less expensive to operate, and able to provide energy that is competitive with fossil fuels. It also features an innovative molten salt energy storage system designed to be complementary to solar and wind power by evening out the peaks and valleys in production when the sun is not shining or the wind is not blowing. With the reactor and energy storage output combined, the plant can produce more than 500 MWe of power for a limited time.

Job Summary:

The Construction Automation Specialist reports to the Lead Construction Automation Specialist. In this role, you will support construction automation efforts for complex projects, using database management, programming skills, and 3D tools. You will establish and administer the portfolio of construction automation applications on the jobsite and data requirements.

This is a Short-Term Assignment position, after 12 months this position will relocate to the project site in Kemmerer, WY. #LI-CL1

Major Responsibilities:

• Provides automation support to teams on project, including setup, training, application and process, software quality assurance and control, reporting, database administration, and close-out of all construction automation software’s and applications ​
• Arranges, prepares, and conducts meetings, workshops, and presentations as required​
• Assists with executing the project automation plan​
• Evaluates and coordinates the implementation of new automation modules and tools​
• Tests and supports data integration of new releases of production software/programs​
• Customizes applications as required by customer​
• Prepares user guides and training material and delivers training​
• Develops performance curves, metrics, trackers, and user feedback to show trends and use in improvements​
• Applies knowledge of database management, programming skills, and 3D tools, to support team and project construction planning, work packaging, progress reporting, material management, turnover/completions, workforce management and timekeeping

• Requires to be physically capable to conduct field inspections and participate in project walk-downs which require the following activities: extensive walking in and around a construction site, climbing ladders, climbing scaffolding, walking on elevated platforms, walking on uneven surfaces, maneuvering around very small and/or confined spaces.

• Application development and maintenance. Digital process implementation.

Job Summary:

TheCSU Operations Lead will be responsible for the startup and initial operations for all permanent plant equipment and systems from Commissioning completion until Substantial Completion and handover to the Customer. The Bechtel Operations Lead provides day to day direction to the seconded Operations team until Substantial Completion to ensure safe and reliable operation of the equipment within equipment design parameters, introduction of feed gas and ramp up to prepare for LNG Production and Plant Performance Testing.This position reports to, and takes day to day direction from, the Project Commissioning & Startup Manager to plan the initial operations of systems to support the completion of the project.#LI-SP1

Major Responsibilities:

• Active leadership in the Zero Accident Plus (ZAP) program; ensuring both process safety and personal safety, as well as ensuring the highest environmental and health standards on the Jobsite.
• Active leadership in the Quality program (including work not performed by CSU). Target zero punchlists to avoid downstream impacts.
• Day to day direction of seconded Client Operators Ensuring that project provided operations support is provided (such as buildings and other facilities)
• Coordinates the technical input and support of the Air Products team on-site, including supporting commissioning and operations teams.
• Management of the performance testing and commissioning demonstration tests, including planning all tests to conform with the requirement of the Prime contract.
• Coordinate with the laboratory team to provide project support for commissioning, initial operations, and performance testing.
• Coordinate any equipment maintenance and/or operational issues that may require project support, such as the provision of ICSS Engineers for tuning and configuration/graphics changes required.

Job Summary:

In this role, you will lead a team and manage daily labor relations activities on construction projects, providing advice in the resolution of labor disputes, grievances, and work stoppages. Your strategic input will enable the industrial relations team to develop and implement process improvement initiatives that facilitate positive labor relations and prevent labor problems and schedule delays.

This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and will require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership. #LI-SM2

Major Responsibilities:

• Monitors daily labor relations activities on construction projects and operating facilities and provides advice and guidance to labor relations personnel in the resolution of labor disputes, grievances, and work stoppages to prevent construction schedule delays (need to show progression)
• Represents Bechtel in external meetings with local union officials and in pre-negotiation meetings for project and national labor agreements, and internally in business development meetings with potential clients
• Supervises the preparation of information and data to be discussed at these meetings, including local area surveys on manual workforce availability, productivity and compensation, available local housing, labor trends and practices, and proposed project plan and/or project agreement
