We are seeking an Industrial Insulator for work in Pass Christian, MS. Covers, boilers, pipes, tanks and refrigeration units with insulating materials, such as fiberglass, cork, plastic and magnesia to reduce loss or absorption of heat, prevent moisture condensation and to deaden sound. Non-exempt role; Reports to the Foreman; Assigned duties according to specific procedures / work is checked frequently.

Wires prefabricated fiberglass covering around steam and hot water piping; trowels mastic or brushes cement on insulation to obtain a smooth finish and covers piping with cloth; fits thermoblock and magnesia-block insulation around insulating boilers, evaporators and turbines; wires insulation on machinery and staples wire netting over insulation; trowels cement on wire netting to protect insulating material; wires cork on salt water, refrigeration and air-conditioning piping and cements cloth over insulating material to obtain a smooth finish; cuts sheets of insulation into sections; fits and cements sections around fittings; covers gas piping of refrigeration or air conditioning systems with molded plastic; fabricates detachable insulation for valves or similar fittings; wires detachable covers on valves or fittings; installs fiber glass or spun glass on ventilation systems to deaden sound and prevent vibration.

ORIENTATION - Must be able to successfully pass Brock and/or Safety Council Site Specific Orientation requirements.
HEAVY WORK - Lifting up to 50 pounds of force from the floor to the waist and 35 pounds of force from the waist to above shoulder.
CLIMBING - Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and the like, to elevations in excess of 100 feet, to maintain three-point contact at all times.
LADDERS - Using vertical ladders Frequently up to 100 feet - Activity exists up to 60% of the work shift.

Position Overview:
The Mechanical Superintendent oversees the daily mechanical construction activities at the work site, including scheduling of workers, delivery of equipment and materials and progress of the project. The Supervisor needs to be familiar with a variety of field concepts, practices, and procedures in specified discipline. Must be able to read prints and do take offs for piping, steel and civil jobs. Ability to schedule out manpower as well as deal with emergency work with little to no notice. Manage Foreman in the field along with tracking the progress of the jobs. Lead the team in installation, assembly, dismantlement, maintenance, troubleshoot, and repairs. Strong knowledge of conveyors and pumps a must. Candidate must be able to set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment in a safe manner. Service and fix a variety of machines within the industrial setting to keep plant in continuous production.
