The CSA Cost Engineer will work within the Cost Management department and will report directly to the Cost Manager or Project Manager. They will work closely withthe Construction Managers and Superintendents. The CSA Cost Engineer will analyze project design and construction documents to determine the needs of the project, review all CSA cost proposals, and prepare cost estimates for CSA scope changes. This position is fully onsite at our project location in Childress, TX.

Salary Range: $90,000 - $130,000 DOE + Per Diem & Incentives

Essential Responsibilities:

• Setup and maintain job cost reports, including budgets, commitments, forecasts,yet to buys, contingencies, and spends.
• Track costs by bid package, field order, and specific category of change as defined by the client.
• Setup and maintain project indicators, including visual graphics.

Electrician Foreman

The purpose of this job is to provide supervision and coordination of workers (both skilled and unskilled) engaged in various types of construction projects, such as highway structures, clearing right-of-way, pile driving, preparing the subgrade, laying road surface, installing curbs, installing underground utilities, traffic control, concrete paving of streets and related lime and dirt work, etc. The goals of this position include scheduling work to meet timetables safely, per the plans and specifications, and to meet estimated costs. Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

Planning

• Review contract documents, submittals, shop drawings, and schematics to determine the nature and scope of the work, the materials to be utilized, and manpower requirements (by craft) for each construction phase.
• Execute Work Plans for major components of work and monitor adherence to Work Plans
• Execute established procedures for ordering self-perform materials, supplies, and small tools from approved suppliers. Ensure timely requisition is made for needed materials and equipment.

Cost Performance

• Monitor daily labor costs and production rates for accuracy and conformance with established budgets. Take corrective action to improve productivity when labor costs exceed expected norms.
• Encourage craftsmen to develop innovative methods for increasing efficiency, productivity, and profitability in their particular operation and to provide feedback and coaching on how the work is proceeding.
• Execute hourly timecard reporting.
• Maintain all equipment assigned to crew and conduct preventive maintenance training for the operator(s). Also responsible for various hand tools and the proper storage of all equipment at the end of each day.

Scheduling

• Provide a detailed construction plan for each day and general plan for one week. Manage work to stay within schedule.
• Manage scheduling of all QA/QC inspections of work necessary to obtain owner acceptance of the work.

Quality Management

• Inspect work in progress and ensure that it is performed within the tolerances established. Take corrective action when tolerances and/or overall performance standards are not being maintained.

Relationships

• Ability to manage crew into an effectively coordinated working unit, promoting a motivating atmosphere.
• Foster and promote the training and development of subordinates through various on-the-job training opportunities, and company-sponsored training programs.

Salary/Pay Rate:

• Design piping systems and process equipment utilizing 3D software to support Clients’ engineering projects

• Build various types and complexities of equipment, piping layouts, steel structures, etc. in a 3D environment from 2D documentation, translating real world objects and installations with a goal to conceptualize and solve design challenges

• Navigate laser scan files to support real time field information while designing in 3D

• Create construction documents used to weld, fabricate, etc. piping systems that were designed

• Develop understanding of industry practices set by large industry leaders in fields like refining, general oil and gas, midstream gas processing, chemical, power, and food and beverage

• Understand basic mechanical and chemical properties on various materials on construction

• Understand physical loads and material support limits

• Understand basic fabrication and installation methods and sequencing to help optimize efficient design solutions

• Understand different technologies and design criteria for valves, instruments, and other inline piping components

• Ability to read and navigate Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and other process flow documents within the applicable industry.

• Support development of packages to coordinate with Stress Engineering to ensure proper system flexibility with respect to design temperatures and pressures.

• Support 3D model review meetings to coordinate the design with construction and Client Operations personnel

• Perform all other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field.
• 7 to 10 years of experience working in the Power, Refining, or Chemical Industries.
• Experience applying standard engineering techniques, ‎procedures, and criteria to ensure compliance with design basis, and safety and environmental regulations.
• Strong communication and inter-personal skills are required for coordination with internal team members as well as Vendors and Clients.
• Willingness to learn and work on a variety of tasks within multiple industries.
• Willingness to travel and work in office and field environments.

Salary/Pay Rate:

In accordance with Illinois Equal Pay Act, the expected salary range for this Illinois position, Engineer IV Mechanical,is between $119,600.00 and $237,473.60 annually. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors as permitted by law.

• Responsible for completing project specific objectives under direction of a Senior Mechanical Engineer.
• Specify, evaluate bids, and perform vendor document review for process equipment such as pressure vessels, tanks, pumps, and heat exchangers.

• Load gravel, dirt and sand; smooth and grade roads; spread rock and gravel.
• Trench and construct ditches for installation of culverts, water pipes and sewer pipes; remove silt and debris.
• Knowledgeable of equipment in respect to checking and maintaining all fluid levels and lubrication.
• May be asked to instruct and train employees in the safe operation of construction equipment and tools and in job techniques and skills
• Inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.

• May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area.
