Turner Industries Group is looking for a journey-level Insulator for a long-term nested position in the Commerce City, CO area. This position covers boilers, pipes, tanks and refrigeration units with insulating materials, such as fiberglass, cork, plastic and magnesia to reduce loss or absorption of heat, prevent moisture condensation and to deaden sound.
- Schedule: alternating 4x10 and 5x8
Essential Qualifications:
- Must be local candidate, no per diem available
- High school or equivalent
- One (1) to four (4) years of experience in specified skill (depending on mechanic level)
- Basic knowledge of Insulator hand tools, tape measure, cutting tools, power tools
- NCCER certification may be required at some job sites
- Post offer drug / alcohol screen, physical evaluation, and signed acceptance of the Turner Industries Drug, Alcohol and Contraband Policy
- Comply with company and client job site safety requirements
- Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace
Functional Requirements:
Wires prefabricated fiberglass covering around steam and hot water piping; trowels mastic or brushes cement on insulation to obtain a smooth finish and covers piping with cloth; fits thermo-block and magnesia-block insulation around insulating boilers, evaporators and turbines; wires insulation on machinery and staples wire netting over insulation; trowels cement on wire netting to protect insulating material; wires cork on salt water, refrigeration and air-conditioning piping and cements cloth over insulating material to obtain a smooth finish; cuts sheets of insulation into sections; fits and cements sections around fittings; covers gas piping of refrigeration or air-conditioning systems with molded plastic; fabricates detachable insulation for valves or similar fittings; wires detachable covers on valves or fittings; installs fiber glass or spun glass on ventilation systems to deaden sound and prevent vibration.
Compensation
Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.

The Material Management Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of production processes by accurately managing materials, resolving inventory discrepancies, processing acquisitions and providing exceptional customer and client support. The role is responsible for maintaining adequate inventory levels, stocking the supply rooms, processing incoming material requests, expediting orders, monitoring deliveries and managing materials within the System Application and Products (SAP) system.
Principle Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Coordinate acquisition, handling, storing, sustainment, and fulfillment of Facilities O&M stock and tool crib inventory
- Accurately receiving and logging material requirements; addressing customer requests promptly and professionally
- Executes remedial actions for reported non-usable, slow moving and excess stock, suggesting actions for better material efficiency based upon production need
- Reviews records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures and escalates issues, as required
- Traces history of items to determine reasons for variances between inventory and stock control records and identifies actions to resolve discrepancies
- Uses system reports to effectively manage materials and reordering
- Assists with spot and annual inventory through physical counts and automated inventory transaction analysis
- Maintains material data in SAP system and manages receipt of inventory through software transactions
- Cycle counting, inventory adjustment, and discrepancy investigation to ensure accuracy and efficient operations
- Processes customer rejected materials for vendor returns and records information, as needed

About this role:

Job Description
The purpose of this position is to manage the Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) function and lead the HSE team to create and sustain a productive work culture and safe work environment in order to avoid and minimize HSE related problems. These problems include but are not limited to prevention of human injury, environmental degradation and unsafe working conditions/practices. Provide leadership and oversight of health, safety and environmental training, programs, and processes with a visible and uncompromised commitment to the protection of the environment as well as the productivity of the Companyâs employees.
⢠Manage and train subordinates assigned to her/his area on HSE activities on Total Installed Cost (TIC) large-scale projects or multi-projects; duties may include the calculation and control of HSE budgets, staffing requirements and schedules; preparation of certification/classification programs and the preparation of the supporting HSE documents; coordination and execution of safety cases and support studies; Quantitative Risk Assessments (QRA); Process Hazard Analyses (PHA); Fire Protection Specifications (FPS) and Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA)as required by certification or regulatory entities
⢠Provide guidance, assistance and advice to business lines, project management, and Company organizations through interpretation and promulgation of Company HSE practices and procedures in relation to client requirements and current legislation and regulations
⢠Make decisions on engineering/scientific problems and methods relating to HSE using advanced techniques, modifications and extensions of theories, precepts and practices of the particular field, related sciences and disciplines
⢠Lead the implementation of HSE programs, including project site-based HSE orientation, recognition and awards programs, to all levels of project staff to promote a balance between productivity and the safety of project staff and visitors in accordance with applicable laws and regulations
⢠Run gap analyses to identify and address program gaps that may occur between Company practices, client requirements, and regulatory/legislative requirements in order to confirm that the project conforms to Company, client and regulatory/legislative requirements
⢠Provide leadership to initiate, foster and maintain HSE standards and goals through Company and/or project wide HSE programs to heighten awareness and promote a safe and productive work environment

What do you need to qualify?
Qualified candidates will work as a Foreman through Local 669. A high level of communication, troubleshooting ability and dedication to safety are essential. The candidate must have a minimum of NICET Level 1 or UA Star Certification. Experience with wet, dry, anti-freeze, preaction & deluge sprinkler systems is ideal.
