Responsibilities Job Summary The UGE Foreman manages crews to complete daily tasks related to the construction and maintenance of underground power lines. This position requires extensive knowledge of underground electrical distribution systems, management of multiple crews, distribution trouble shooting, management of storm crews, scheduling of crews, and coordinating resources. Tasks may include installing underground primary conductors, reconducting, and managing various types of equipment used for the distribution of electricity. Foreman read blueprints of projects and are responsible for production efficiency, training, and the safety of their crews. Obtain all the necessary materials for the job, and ensure all permits and licenses are in place. Oversee work related to each project and assume full responsibility for its quality and timeliness. Compliance with proper safety standards, procedures, and work practices according to MasTec or the customer, whichever standard is higher. Facilitate daily toolbox talks and weekly safety inspections. Disseminates information and ensures understanding of safety briefings. Coordinate and supervise daily tasks for crew members related to digging and placing product. Civil Carpenter

Construct, erect, install, and repair structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard, using carpenter's hand tools and power tools.Must have knowledge of structural design, the ability to read blueprints, and simple layouts. Broad Function

The Estimator is responsible for analyzing drawings, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for products, projects, or services on behalf of the organization.

Essential Functions

· Review data to determine material and labor requirements and prepares itemized lists.

· Source and bid materials and equipment to ensure Brock receives competitive pricing.

· Utilize industry experience and current data from Project Controls to develop accurate productivity factors.

· Conduct special studies to develop and establish standard hour and related cost data or effect cost reductions.

· Consult with clients, vendors, or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.

· Interface with Operations and other individuals in the organization to obtain support and commitment to the cost estimates.

· Attend job walks and pre-bid meetings as required.

· Identify RFIs and potential changes of scope based upon RFQ data provided by customers.

· Support a centralized cost estimating database and a formal process to support cost estimating to ensure historical data is utilized.

· Coordinate with Project Controls and Operations to analyze completed projects to compare estimated costs to actual costs and determine the reason for any discrepancies.

· Provide improvement recommendations to cost estimating procedures to reduce future discrepancies between estimated and actual costs.

· Identify cost trends to assist management in cost reduction and process improvement efforts

The Industrial Insulator will layout, fabricate, assemble, install and repair insulation and sheet metal around pipes, maintenance parts, fittings, equipment and systems.

Responsibilities

• Must be an experienced Industrial Insulator with 3 or more years of experience.
• Mustbe able to install temp mat and pads and install pipe covering and fittings (Calcium Silicate).
• Must have experience forming sheet metal materials around pipes, ductwork and industrial equipment.

Insulator Metal-man

Must be able to apply, remove, and repair insulating material to exposed surfaces or structures, such as air ducts, hot or cold pipes, storage tanks, boilers and buildings to help control noise and maintain temperatures. Other duties may be assigned.

Insulator/Metal-man

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

• Reads blueprints and selects required insulation material.
• Work at heights with no fear.
• Brush adhesives on or attach metal adhesive applicationto insulation material.
• Determine the amounts and selects required insulation material (in sheet, tubular, or roll form), such as fiberglass, foam rubber, Styrofoam, cork, and urethane based on material's ability to retain heat, location, surface, shape, and equipment use.
• Using tape measure or other measuring device, measure and cut insulation material to specified size and shape for covering flat or round surfaces, using handsaw, knife, or scissors.
• Fit, wrap or attach required insulation material around or to structure, following blueprint specifications.
• Cover or seal insulation with preformed plastic covers, canvas strips, sealant or tape to secure insulation to the structure - according to the type of insulation used and structure covered, using staple gun, trowel, paintbrush, or caulking gun.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required for this Position:

Education – no minimum education requirements.

Experience – 3-5 years of Journeyman level experience.
