POSITION SUMMARY:
This role is responsible to prepare owner billings in accordance with contractual terms. You will ensure job costs are processed in accordance with company internal control procedures. Managing relationships with third party sub contractors and project management team, to ensure superb levels of customer service and prompt payments, is also a key responsibility of this position.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
·Review owner contracts and identify contractual terms for billing purposes
·Analyze and process job related costs in accordance with internal control procedures
·Coordinate the billing process with the project team.Prepare accurate billings on a timely basis. Reconcile job costs to monthly billings. Identify and communicate unbilled/late billed costs
·Provide subcontractors with timely payments in exchange for waivers
·Review and compile waiver packages
·Facilitate job closeout. Prepare closed job accrual and reconcile profit (loss)
·Understand subcontractor insurance compliance
·Understand impact of cash flow on projects billed
·Compile monthly subcontractor certified payroll reports as needed

Job Description
As Project Controls Analyst, you will serve as a trusted financial resource for construction projects and the primary liaison between operations and corporate finance. This highly visible and fast-paced position is charged with financial reporting, compliance, and processing responsibilities over projects ranging in size from $20 million to $1 billion in contract value.
Responsibilities
This position will report directly to the Project Manager/Project Executive with input from the lead Project Controls Manager in the region. This individual will be in the middle of the action, working directly on our project sites and closely collaborating with our project team and trade partners.

Internal audit finding resolution
Subcontractor requisition and accounts payable processing
Consumable materials purchasing and equipment inventory monitoring
Management of field payroll
Assist with project setup, closeout, and owner contract review and readiness

Secure required permits and verify insurance coverage for subcontractors
Facilitate project meetings to successfully coordinate work activity
Lead, train, and develop project team members
Prepare and submit monthly job status reports that outline project priorities and issues
Lead project close-out of project, including turnover of manuals and warranties and preparation of final payment documents for subcontractors
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with counterparts at owner, engineering and design firms
Establish a deadline and monitor the progress of the project
Drive a culture of safety on the project site
Support the companyâs acquisition of new work by participating in proposals and presentations

Basic Qualifications
Preferred degree from an accredited college or university in Construction Management, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or other business-related fields or similar relevant work experience

Your Work Environment: Your primary workspace will be in our professional office, which has a typical, quiet-to-moderate noise and light levels. As part of your work, you may also be required to visit active construction sites. These environments are naturally more dynamic and can include exposure to outdoor weather conditions, louder noise, and moving equipment. The Role
The Project Manager manages all facets of a construction program, including development, coordination, and implementation of a program schedule to ensure programs are completed on time, within budget, and ensure or surpass expected quality. The Project Manager must serve as a leader of the construction program, liaising between team members and clients, on all matters. The value of projects will vary based on contract type and overall complexity but in general the position will oversee projects ranging from $2,000 to $500,000 each or $1,500,000 annually.
