Bechtel is the licensing, engineering, procurement, and construction partner on TerraPower's Natrium team. Selected by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) for its Advanced Reactor demonstration Program, Natrium is participating in a DOE initiative to reestablish U.S. leadership in nuclear energy that provides matching funds to industry to design and build an operational advanced reactor. TerraPower, a leading advanced generation technology company founded by former Microsoft CEO Bill Gates, partnered with General Electric-Hitachi, will be deploying its 345 MWE sodium fast reactor (SFR), called Natrium. Located in Wyoming, the Natrium Demonstration plant features an advanced, cost-competitive reactor design that is safer, easier and less costly to construct, less expensive to operate, and able to provide energy that is competitive with fossil fuels. It also features an innovative molten salt storage output, combined, the plant can produce more than 500 MWE. POSITION SUMMARY:
In the role of Sr. Project Manager you are responsible for the overall safety, direction, completion, and financial outcome of construction projects from initial budget through project closeout. Safety is the number one priority at Pepper Construction and the Sr. Project Manager is expected to promote and exemplify safe work practices. You are expected to work with people in all levels of Project Management and Field Supervision to establish operational priorities and ensure a quality project. You will maintain positive and effective working relationships with both internal and external members of the Project Team and support departments. This position is for a Senior Systems Engineer (SE) to execute and lead systems engineering activities including requirements management, organization, validation, and verification of complex design requirements, within a model-based systems engineering environment for various clients.
