Carpenter/Fireproofing

Construct, erect, install, and repair structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard, using carpenter's hand tools and power tools. Position Summary:The OSM Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of offsite manufacturing (OSM) project execution, serving as the primary leader for OSM scopes onsite. Reporting to senior project leadership, this role manages the OSM team—including Lead Superintendents, Field Superintendents, Project Engineers, and QA/QC Engineers—and ensures alignment across cost, schedule, safety, quality, and technical requirements. The OSM Construction Manager maintains close collaboration with clients, design teams, subcontractors, and vendors, balancing field presence with management responsibilities. In the absence of an OSM-specific Project Manager, this position takes full ownership of scope leadership, acting as the key decision-maker and final point of escalation before issues reach upper management.

Salary Range: $109,760.00 - $179,200.00 Annually Depending on Experience

Essential Responsibilities:

• Oversee and coordinate daily OSM activities across multiple subcontractors, vendors, and internal OSM staff.
• Ensure adherence to project schedule, budget, quality standards, and safety protocols.
• Maintain strong field presence to verify proper installation, sequencing, and safe work practices.
• Lead OSM quality control efforts from preconstruction through commissioning and punch list.
• Review and process submittals, RFIs, and change documents to ensure technical accuracy and scope alignment.
• Support OSM budgeting, cost tracking, and subcontractor buyout processes.
• Manage OSM subcontractor contracts, modifications, and billing, including schedule of values.

QUALIFICATIONS

Professional Experience and Education:

• Minimum 5 years of construction or prefabrication experience, with industrial or high-tech project experience preferred.
• OSM, modular, or prefabricated construction experience strongly preferred.
• OSHA 30 certification required (may be obtained after hire).
• High school diploma or GED required, bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of materials and methods of mechanical, process, electrical, and structural construction.

Position Related Skills:

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive construction project management experience.

• Design piping systems and process equipment utilizing 3D software to support Clients’ engineering projects

• Build various types and complexities of equipment, piping layouts, steel structures, etc. in a 3D environment from 2D documentation, translating real world objects and installations with a goal to conceptualize and solve design challenges

• Navigate laser scan files to support real time field information while designing in 3D

• Create construction documents used to weld, fabricate, etc. piping systems that were designed

• Develop understanding of industry practices set by large industry leaders in fields like refining, general oil and gas, midstream gas processing, chemical, power, and food and beverage

• Understand basic mechanical and chemical properties on various materials on construction

• Understand physical loads and material support limits

• Understand basic fabrication and installation methods and sequencing to help optimize efficient design solutions
