Operate one or several types of power construction equipment to excavate, move and/or grade material.

⢠Operate a variety of vehicles and large heavy equipment while performing maintenance and repairs on roads and rights-of-way including loading, hauling and dumping on smooth to extremely rough surfaces.
⢠Load gravel, dirt and sand; smooth and grade roads; spread rock and gravel.
⢠Trench and construct ditches for installation of culverts, water pipes and sewer pipes; remove silt and debris.
⢠Knowledgeable of equipment in respect to checking and maintaining all fluid levels and lubrication.
⢠May be asked to instruct and train employees in the safe operation of construction equipment and tools and in job techniques and skills

Holder Construction is currently seeking a Field Engineer Technician to support our Field Supervision in Hampton, Ga.
The perfect person for this position is a team player who thrives in a challenging and fast-paced yet supported environment. Field Engineer Technician responsibilities include operating electronic total station instrument, transit, Auto-level and other surveying instruments. Sets and marks stakes for slopes, grades and other construction purposes. Determines and sets markers. Determines lines, corners, elevations, grades, alignments, angles, positions, and distances. Maintains total station and field book. Maintains survey equipment and tools. This position will provide primary support to our field supervision and must demonstrate ownership of assigned tasks, maintain professionalism, and use critical thinking to solve issues.
Ideal candidate for this position will possess 2 years of construction/surveying experience using total station and site levels. High school diploma/GED, complete understanding of surveying math, and good communication skills required.
Qualified Candidates must be agile/mobile, remain alert, be able to stand or walk for long periods of time, use fingers, hands & arms to reach, handle and manipulate objects, climb up/down ladders, scaffolds, and other objects, work on uneven surfaces/heights, be able to read/write, have the ability to see & hear well either naturally or with correction. Must be able to lift and carry materials of all shapes and sizes weighing 50 lbs., 75% of the time.
Individuals must be able to work in an OSHA compliant safety environment, work outside and must be able to work overtime and weekend hours. Punctuality and promptness are required every day.
