Insulator - Metal Man

Must be able to apply, remove, and repair insulating material to exposed surfaces or structures, such as air ducts, hot or cold pipes, storage tanks, boilers and buildings to help control noise and maintain temperatures. Other duties may be assigned.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

• Reads blueprints and selects required insulation material.
• Work at heights with no fear.
• Brush adhesives on or attach metal adhesive applicationto insulation material.
• Determine the amounts and select required insulation material (in sheet, tubular, or roll form), such as fiberglass, foam rubber, Styrofoam, cork, and urethane, based on the material's ability to retain heat, location, surface, shape, and equipment use.
• Using tape measure or other measuring device, measure and cut insulation material to specified size and shape for covering flat or round surfaces, using handsaw, knife, or scissors.
• Fit, wrap, or attach required insulation material around or to the structure, following blueprint specifications.
• Cover or seal insulation with preformed plastic covers, canvas strips, sealant, or tape to secure insulation to the structure, according to the type of insulation used and structure covered, using a staple gun, trowel, paintbrush, or caulking gun.

Position responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Insulator/Metal Man/Fabricator will be required to conduct Insulation work, mechanical, apply/remove insulating materials to pipes and ductwork or other mechanical systems in order to help control and maintain temperature. Required to select type and size of insulation and related materials according to specifications. Will measure and cut sections of insulation to the proper length. Will fasten the insulation with adhesive, staples, tape or wire bands. May wrap a cover of aluminum, plastic, or canvas over the insulation and cement or band the cover in place. May screw on metal around the insulated pipes to protect the insulation from the weather or physical abuse.

Physical Demands:

Work Environment

As a Project Controls Analyst, you will serve as a trusted financial resource for construction projects and the primary liaison between operations and corporate finance. Project Accounting & Administration

• Compiling owner requisition

• Internal audit finding resolution

• Subcontractor requisition and accounts payable processing

• Consumable materials purchasing and equipment inventory monitoring

• Management of field payroll

• Assist with project setup, closeout, and owner contract review and readiness

• Lien waiver and insurance administration

Project Finance

• Support monthly project financial forecast

• Prepare monthly cost reports

• Key performance indicator monitoring

• Process innovation and improvement

• Project cash-flow monitoring and forecasting

• Change Order Monitoring & Reconciliation

• Lead all activities related to contract administration, change orders, procurement, schedule, and financial reporting

• Have thorough knowledge of the company's contracts and understanding of all parties involved

• Secure required permits and verify insurance coverage for subcontractors

• Facilitate project meetings to successfully coordinate work activity

• Lead, train, and develop project team members

• Prepare and submit monthly job status reports that outline project priorities and issues

• Lead project close-out of project, including turnover of manuals and warranties and preparation of final payment documents for subcontractors

• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with counterparts at owner, engineering and design firms

• Establish a deadline and monitor the progress of the project

• Drive a culture of safety on the project site

Basic Qualifications

• Preferred degree from an accredited college or university in Construction Management, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or other business-related fields or similar relevant work experience

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced team environment

• Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

The Physical Side of the Role: This is an active, hands-on role. You can expect to be on your feet frequently, navigating active job sites with uneven terrain, stairs, ladders, and hoists. The work is physically demanding and requires a full range of motion, including bending, kneeling, and reaching. You’ll need to be comfortable frequently lifting and carrying materials up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds. This role requires the ability to communicate effectively, as well as visual acuity for reading plans and inspecting work. The role does include desk time in the office that may require prolonged periods of sitting for tasks like computer work, document review, and meetings.

Your Work Environment: You’ll spend a significant amount of your time on active construction sites, which means being adaptable to all kinds of weather and moderate to loud noise levels, and comfortable in elevated or confined work areas with moving mechanical equipment and with the fast-paced nature of a project in progress. As a Project Engineer, you will join a project team tasked with the responsibility for all technical and engineering aspects of your project. You will lead daily coordination between our clients, trade partners, engineers, architects, and our employees. The Project Engineer is responsible for planning, scheduling, predicting, and managing all the technical tasks to assure accuracy, proper resources, and quality for the lifecycle of the project.

• Facilitate with the Project Manager and Superintendent in the coordination of drawings

• Draft change orders. Solicit prices from subcontractors and suppliers. Perform scope take-off and estimate costs

• Lead close out of project; includes assembling manuals and other warranties for turnover to owner and preparation final payment documents for subcontractors

• Develop and lead training sessions for your team and trade partners

• Take ownership of document management applications
