Bechtel is partnering with NextDecade to support their vision to provide the world access to lower carbon intensive energy with their Rio Grande LNG (RGLNG) project in Brownsville, Texas. RGLNG is a natural gas liquefaction and export terminal situated on a 984-acre site on the banks of the Brownsville ship channel. The first phase of the RGLNG project consists of three liquefaction trains, two storage tanks and one marine berth. At full capacity, the five-train facility will have a production capacity of 27 million tonnes per annum (MTPA).

The CSU Operations Lead will be responsible for the startup and initial operations for all permanent plant equipment and systems from Commissioning completion until Substantial Completion and handover to the Customer. The Bechtel Operations Lead provides day to day direction to the seconded Operations team until Substantial Completion to ensure safe and reliable operation of the equipment within equipment design parameters, introduction of feed gas and ramp up to prepare for LNG Production and Plant Performance Testing. Bechtel is the licensing, engineering, procurement, and construction partner on TerraPowerâs Natrium team. Qualifications include formal training in scaffolding competent person, crane management, steel erection, emergency response, fall management, excavation and confined space, rigging, hazardous waste, NFPDS/erosion control, and identifying and correcting safety deficiencies in the field.
A solid background in construction safety, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with all craft workers in a construction environment is essential.
Hours may change and you may be asked to work overtime or weekends with short notice. Punctuality and promptness are required every day. Individuals must be able to work in an OSHA compliant safety environment, work outside and must be able to work overtime and weekend hours.
