Job Summary: The Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) Construction Manager will work within the Construction Management Department and will report to the Project Manager. They will work closely with design professionals, clients, subcontractors, and craftspeople to address complex civil, architectural, and structural coordination issues. The I&C Construction Manager will participate in design and constructability reviews and lead our onsite quality control program for the controls scope of work, which will include document review during preconstruction through commissioning and punch list. This position will be fully at the project site.

Salary Range:$90,000 - $150,000 annually

Essential Responsibilities:

• Oversee controls subcontractor installation work daily to ensure they are maintaining their installation schedule, support system startup, and commissioning activities.
• Interface between Area Construction Managers and multiple subcontractors to assist in coordinating Mechanical/Electrical startups.
• CoordinateBuilding Automated Control Systems with civil, architectural, and structural elements within the overall project design.
• Organize and facilitate training of control personnel in the operations and maintenance of Building Automated Control Systems.
• Participate in startup meetings involving Area Construction Managers, Design Team members,multiplesubcontractors, local utility agencies,and owners to coordinate/ driveMEP system start up activities.
• Review and processproject submittal information and assist Project Engineers with the coordination betweenmultiplesubmittalstoensurethe accuracy and functionality of each component of the Building Automated Control Systems with the variousMEP systems.
• Receive and distributerequestsfor information(RFI) and change documents issued by otherteam members.
• Field survey of control lines and benchmarks.
• Assist in estimating Building Automated Control Systems budgets and managing Building Automated Control Systems team project staffing.
• Secure Building Automated Control Systems subcontractors and equipment buyout and manage Building Automated Control Systems subcontractors contracts and contract modifications.
• Oversee billing and schedule of values for Building Automated Control Systems subcontractors and vendors.

Qualifications:

Professional Experience and Education

• A minimum of five (5) years of building automated control system construction experience required.
• Extensive experience in industrial and/or hi-tech semiconductor manufacturing projects is required.
• Experience working in a live high tech facility required.
• LEED Accredited Professional, or the ability to become accredited within eighteen (18) months preferred.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent degree and/or equivalent field work experience required.
• Education background in materials and methods of construction.

Position Related Skills

• Experience working in cleanroom environments.
• Proficient inWindows and Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point and Teams),and have a general understanding of working within a computer network.

Position Summary:

Hoffman Construction is seeking an Electrical Construction Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of electrical systems on a high tech construction project. This role is critical to ensuring the successful delivery of high-performance, mission-critical infrastructure that meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. This individual will be an integral member of the on-site Electrical Team, managing all aspects of electrical construction from pre-construction through commissioning. This individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage subcontractors and vendors, and help deliver mission-critical infrastructure on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. This position will be fully at the project site near Boise, Idaho.

Salary Range: $85,000 - $130,000   

Essential Responsibilities:

• Supervise and mentor on-site electrical teams, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Serve as the electrical systems technical advisor at onsite field construction office.
• Provide electrical systems technical support in the field, including layout, verification, and sequencing of installations.
• Lead planning, scheduling, and monitoring electrical construction activities.
• Lead or support meetings involving area managers, design team members, multiple subcontractors, and client representatives.
• Facilitate daily coordination meetings and resolve field issues promptly.
• Attend and contribute to pre-installation meetings; assist in documentation of as-built conditions.
• Interface between area managers and multiple subcontractors to assist with resolution of field coordination items.
• Coordination with engineering consultants, architects, vendors, and client representatives.
• Review, interpret, and coordinate electrical design drawings, construction documents, technical manuals, and quantifying materials required for construction from the documents.
• Review and process shop drawings, product data, and technical submittal information; cross-coordinate between submittals to ensure the compatibility and constructability.
• Generate, receive, and distribute Requests for Information (RFI).
• Receive and distribute change documents, bulletins and field directives issued by other team members.
• Support BIM coordination and participate in clash detection and resolution processes.
• Coordination installation and inspection of various electrical system components such as switchgear, UPS systems, generators, PDUs, bus ducts and low-voltage systems.
• Ensure compliance with local codes, standards (e.g., NEC, IEEE), and client requirements.
• Lead QA/QC efforts for the electrical installations, including participationpre-functional testing and systems start up.
• Maintain documentation for inspections, testing and commissioning.
• Assist in the commissioning and turnover of systems.
• Collaborate with Mechanical, Plumbing, CSA, and other Electrical Construction Managers to ensure integration of civil, architectural, structural, and MEP systems.
• Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure a safe working environment.
• Provide regular updates to project stakeholders on progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.
• Maintain accurate records of project changes, RFIs, submittals and as-built documentation.

Qualifications

Professional Experience and Education

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor of science in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, structural engineering, construction management or equivalent degree and/or equivalent craft level work experience.
• Minimum 5 years of Electrical Construction Management experience in commercial building construction required, with at least 3 years in hyperscale or mission-critical data center environments.
• Proven experience managing large-scale electrical installations, preferably in hyper-scaled data centers.
• Strong understanding of electrical infrastructure and systems including high voltage, medium voltage, and low voltage distribution, UPS, generators, grounding and BMS integration.
• Knowledge of Uptime Institute or other data center standards.
• Deep understanding of construction means and methods, trade sequencing, and commissioning processes and integrated systems testing.
• OSHA 30 certification or equivalent safety training preferred.
• PMP or similar project management certification preferred.

Reporting to senior project leadership, this role manages the OSM team—including Lead Superintendents, Field Superintendents, Project Engineers, and QA/QC Engineers—and ensures alignment across cost, schedule, safety, quality, and technical requirements. WHAT YOU'LL DO:

In this Diesel Equipment Mechanic role, you will support nightly bridge operations by performing on‑site inspection, maintenance, and repair of diesel‑powered construction equipment and support vehicles critical to ongoing work activities.

You will monitor equipment condition throughout the shift, conduct routine and preventative maintenance, diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, and identify potential failures that could impact operations, worker safety, or project timelines. This role includes servicing engines, hydraulic systems, fuel systems, braking components, and auxiliary equipment, as well as verifying that machinery, tools, generators, and mobile equipment are operating safely and efficiently. You will ensure all maintenance and repair work complies with manufacturer specifications, Caltrans requirements, project standards, and site‑specific safety procedures while supporting industrial coating, heavy equipment, and roadway operations within active traffic corridors.

Key Responsibilities include:

Overnight Equipment Support

• Perform on‑site inspections, preventative maintenance (PM), and repairs on diesel‑powered construction equipment and support vehicles during nightly bridge operations.
• Prioritize and execute repairs within lane‑closure windows to keep work fronts moving and minimize downtime.

Diagnostics & Repairs

• Troubleshoot and repair engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brake systems, fuel/DEF systems, cooling systems, and powertrains.
• Diagnose fault codes with OEM software/scanners, document findings and corrective actions.

Asset Readiness & Compliance

• Verify safe operation of generators, compressors, light plants, pumps, welders, lifts (scissor/boom), forklifts, small tools, and service trucks before deployment.
• Ensure all work complies with manufacturer specs, site‑specific safety plans, and Caltrans/contract requirements.

Preventative Maintenance Program

• Complete PM services (fluids, filters, torque checks, belts/hoses) at prescribed intervals; maintain accurate PM logs.
• Track parts usage and recommend reorder levels, flag recurring failures for reliability improvements.

Safety & Work Controls

• Apply LOTO, hot‑work, confined space, and elevated work procedures as required by the task and location.
• Maintain clean, organized, and spill‑controlled work areas; properly handle and dispose of fluids and waste.

Field Readiness & Mobility

• Operate a fully outfitted service truck; respond to breakdowns across multiple work zones within the bridge corridor.
• Support equipment moves, refueling, battery service, tire service, and end‑of‑shift readiness.

Documentation & Communication

• Complete digital work orders with cause/correction details, parts, labor, and time stamps.
• Communicate equipment status and risk to supervisors, superintendents, and traffic/safety teams.

Position Summary:

The OSM Field Superintendent is responsible for overseeing offsite manufacturing (OSM) construction activities at the project site. Reporting to the Project Superintendent and OSM Lead(s), this role works closely with other superintendents, subcontractors, and craft workers. The position manages OSM scopes involving 3D structural modules integrated with mechanical, plumbing, process and electrical (MP&E) systems, from project initiation through completion, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule compliance.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Coordinate daily activities with other superintendents, mechanical subcontractors, and other discipline subcontractors.
• Supervise multiple subcontractors and craft employees.
• Maintain and adjust project scheduleon a daily basis.
• Manage RFI’s and submittals for client/architect review. (shared responsibility with OSM Project Engineer/Construction Manager).
• Implement and oversee the QA/QC program for OSM scopes.
• Enforce and promote all safety protocols.
• Resolve design and constructability issues in the field.
• Respond to client requests and develop solutions using technical expertise.
• Interpret and ensure compliance with all permitting, code requirements, and site specifications.
• Provide field condition data and scope details for cost estimating support.
• Oversee contractor performance in alignment with contractual requirements.
• Assist in managing field crew staffing levels, headcount, and competency with OSM trade partners.

Qualifications:

Professional Experience and Education

• Minimumfive (5) years ofhands-on mechanical/multidisciplineconstruction experience required.

• Experience with high-purity chemical and gas systems strongly preferred.
• OSHA 30 certification required (may be obtained after hire).
