The Physical Side of the Role: This is an active, hands-on role. You can expect to be on your feet frequently, navigating active job sites with uneven terrain, stairs, ladders, and hoists. The work is physically demanding and requires a full range of motion, including bending, kneeling, and reaching. Youâll need to be comfortable frequently lifting and carrying materials up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds. How you will contribute:
This is a great opportunity to play a key role in various fire protection system design projects. As a Fire Protection Design Intern, you will exercise your attention to detail while designing automatic sprinkler systems using AutoCAD and AutoSPRINK. Your responsibilities will also include designing a variety of fire protection sprinkler systems in accordance with applicable codes and within the scope of the contract. Additionally, you will prepare stock lists in the standard Company format, ensuring all details align with project requirements.
What you need to qualify:
Prior experience working in AutoCADand strong math and analytical skills is preferred. Candidates should be currently pursuing an associate or bachelorâs degree in a related field. Knowledge of the construction industry is helpful.
