Job Summary:The Mechanical Field Superintendent - Wet will play a pivotal role in driving the completion of a hyper-scale data center construction project by leading the mechanical installation teams through layout, planning, and execution of the project's wet systems. As a member of the Construction Management team, the Mechanical Field Superintendent - Wet will be situated in the field and report directly to the Project Superintendent. They will collaborate closely with other Hoffman project team members and subcontractors, providing direction and guidance to ensure project objectives are met while maintaining excellence in safety and demonstrating the highest level of integrity.As a leader dedicated to doing what is right, Field Superintendents will partner with internal and external teams and stakeholders to execute Hoffman Construction’s iconic projects.

Salary Range: $90,000.00 - $150,000.00

Essential Responsibilities:

• Coordinate day-to-day activities with other superintendents, subcontractors and other discipline subcontractors
• Monitor the performance and productivity of subcontractor teams ensuring project specifications are met, and quality and safety standards are maintained
• Maintain and adjust project scheduleas necessary
• Manage RFI, submittal materials for review with the Owner/Architect
• Manage and abide by all safety protocol
• Provide resolution to design and constructability issues
• Respond to customer/client requests and/or issues and develop resolution to problems using technical expertise
• Must be able to interpret and implement proper installations in compliance with all permitting, codes and site specifications
• Provide supporting information regarding field conditions and scope for cost estimates.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Electricalor equivalent degree or equivalent work experience
• Education background in materials and methods of construction
• Applicant to have five (5) plus years managing the construction of mechanical systems

Pipefitter Foreman

The purpose of this job is to provide supervision and coordination of workers (both skilled and unskilled) engaged in various types of construction projects, such as ay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems, pipe supports, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling, and industrial production and processing systems etc. The goals of this position include scheduling work to meet timetables in a safe manner, per the plans and specifications, and to meet estimated cost. This position may be required to maintain a good working relationship with inspectors, developers, vendors, subcontractors, etc. Other duties may be assigned.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

Planning

• Review contract documents, submittals, shop drawings, and schematics to determine the nature and scope of the work, the materials to be utilized, and manpower requirements (by craft) for each construction phase.
• Execute Work Plans for major components of work and monitor adherence to Work Plans
• Execute established procedures for the ordering self-perform materials, supplies, and small tools from approved suppliers. Ensure timely requisition is made for needed materials and equipment.

Cost Performance

• Monitor daily labor costs and production rates for accuracy and conformance with established budgets. Take corrective action to improve productivity when labor costs exceed expected norms.
• Encourage craftsmen to develop innovative methods for increasing efficiency, productivity, and profitability in their particular operation and to provide feedback and coaching on how the work is proceeding.
• Execute hourly timecard reporting.
• Maintain all equipment assigned to crew and conduct preventive maintenance training for operator(s). Also responsible for various hand tools and the proper storage of all equipment at the end of each day.

Scheduling

• Provide a detailed construction plan for each day and general plan for one week. Manage work to stay within schedule.
• Manage scheduling of all QA/QC inspections of work necessary to obtain owner acceptance of the work.

Quality Management

• Inspect work in progress and ensure that it is performed within the tolerances established. Take corrective action when tolerances and/or overall performance standard are not being maintained.

Relationships

• Ability to manage crew into an effectively coordinated working unit, promoting a motivating atmosphere.
• Foster and promote the training and development of subordinates through various on-the-job training opportunities, company-sponsored training programs.
• Recommend personnel actions, such as promotions, discharges, disciplinary measures, initiate and suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve goals.
• Supervise the work of subcontractors to ensure compliance with plan, specifications, and schedules.

Safety

• Conduct Toolbox and JHA Safety Meetings with employee-owners to instruct them on topics for accident prevention.
• Enforce all safety regulations and company policies and is constantly alert to all safety conditions.

Technical

• Investigate alternative work methods and materials to improve efficiency and work quality; works to resolve issues.
• Ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
• Perform a variety of tasks associated with project completion, including closeout punch lists, demobilization, etc.
• Maintain a detailed and accurate daily report of all activity associated with field construction activities.
• Ensure that equipment is being used for its intended purpose in the correct manner.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for supervising and coordinating the daily activities for crew workers to build rotors, erect base and mid-sections, erect full turbines and offload turbine components while meeting production schedule timelines.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Production:

• Ability to interpret specifications and read blueprints
• Assist in lay out of work for crew
• Preplan daily activities and ensure crew productivity to meet job schedule
• Monitor quality control of work in place by craft workers
• Order and coordinate delivery of necessary materials
• Comply with all documentation requirements and fill out all project related reports, such as:
• Daily Reports, Safety Reports, ESRs, Inspection Reports, etc.

Leading the pre construction (“capture”) team along with generating and managing proposals for the Utility PV, DG PV, Battery Storage, and High Voltage projects. REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related engineering field.
• Professional Engineers License
• 15+ years of experience working in the Power, Refining, or Chemical Industries.
• Strong background in heat exchangers, pumps, ASME pressure vessels, and ASME piping codes.
• Experience in the specification of Power Plant Equipment including CTGs, STGs, and HRSGs.
• Knowledge of EPC Project execution model.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required for coordination with internal team members as well as Vendors and Clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serve as a Mechanical Lead on an EPC Power Project.
• Provide strong leadership to drive mechanical technical design and project coordination.
• Manage Project Schedules and Budgets as well as provide weekly reports to communicate project status, issues, and needs.
• Prepare and maintain resource plans.
• Prepare equipment inquiry/RFQ packages.
• Perform equipment technical bid evaluations and prepare recommendations.
• Review equipment vendor documents for compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
• Develop job notes and technical scopes of work.
• Perform field walk downs to collect information required to complete work.
• Prepare man-hour estimates for proposals.
• Attend Client, Vendor, and Internal Team meetings.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work at heights with no fear.
• Has basic hand tools to bring to site.
• Determines type of scaffold needed.
• Transports tubular scaffold or other structural material and erects the scaffold as instructed by the scaffold builder.
• Hoists scaffolding materials upward in order to erect temporary structure.
• Properly secures and levels locking sections of scaffolding material.
• Properly secures scaffold to the permanent structure for added stability.
• Adheres to all OSHA, site specific and Austin Industrial requirements for the erecting and navigation of the scaffolding.
• Dismantles scaffolding when it has been properly communicated to do so.
• Inspects and properly stows scaffolding material after dismantling.
• Performs final inspection of completed scaffolding.
