The Environmental Specialist will work under the supervision of the Site Manager and Project Manager to maintain environmental compliance of the site. This position is primarily focused on the implementation and associated compliance of the Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) at the project site. This position will support environmental related aspects, as required by federal, state, and local regulations during the construction phase of the project. This will include, but are not limited to, supporting Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC), Threatened and Endangered species, recycling and waste disposal.

· Strong communications skills, specifically in reading/writing as it relates to Estimating.
Physical Requirements:
Employee will be required to communicate in person, via telephone, email, use of arm/hand steadiness, manual dexterity, finger dexterity, multi limb coordination, oral expression, and comprehension. May be required to lift, carry and move objects safely. Must be able to pass a Physical Health Assessment based on an Occupational Review of physical actions required to perform the work. Must be able to access any part of the plant or job site which may include climbing at heights, working in confined spaces, and working in exposed weather conditions. The candidate/employee must meet all standards to perform the previously mentioned actions to access the required area. Must be able to sit, squat, stand, & kneel for long periods of time.
Work Environment:
Will work in a general office environment. Capable of operating and functioning in a fast-paced work environment. Must possess a vision (corrected or uncorrected) that allows for clear visibility from 20 inches or less. While traveling, employee will work in multiple environments including an office, warehouse and in a trailer or building on construction sites. On construction sites noise levels will be moderate to high. Job site will contain light to heavy equipment vehicles, small to large equipment, materials, communication equipment and tools, people standing, walking, sitting, signaling and talking, bells whistles and alarms. Weather conditions ranging from warm/hot â cool/cold and occasional rain. May be required to work in close, confined spaces or in different elevations for a long period of time. Noise levels will be moderate to high.

Zachry Engineering Corporation (ZEC) is seeking a Field Civil Engineer II to work out of construction sites and be responsible for layout and control, verifying that construction complies with engineering plans, and assisting with the placement of structural elements. This hands-on role requires strong technical skills and often involves working closely with construction crews and resolving issues that arise during construction.
