The Role We Want You For
As an MEP Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), and associated construction scopes for Clayco projects. This includes the development of comprehensive MEP scope documents, the creation of MEP bid packages in the early stages of project planning, and leading subcontractor negotiations. This role will also involve providing leadership and guidance to both the design team and clients, ensuring effective document reviews, and addressing scope modifications during the construction phase. You'll serve as the key liaison between the original scope and any field adjustments that arise. Additionally, the MEP Project Manager will supervise and coordinate the efforts of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and elevator subcontractors on-site, ensuring the successful, on-time, and on-budget completion of projects. The Office Engineer (OE) position supports the execution of work in the field with a focus on project administration activities. The OE participates in many of the field activities especially as related to safety and quality control. The purpose of this job is to provide supervision and coordination of workers (both skilled and unskilled) engaged in various types of construction projects, such as highway structures, clearing right-of-way, pile driving, preparing subgrade, laying road surface, installing curb, installing underground utilities, traffic control, concrete paving of streets and related lime and dirt work, etc. The goals of this position include scheduling work to meet timetables in a safe manner, per the plans and specifications, and to meet estimated cost. Thacker Pass is the largest known lithium resource in the United States. Once complete, the mine and processing facilities will produce more lithium carbonate than any other facility in the United States by far â enough to power 1 million electric vehicles per year.
As the EPCM contractor for Lithium Americas, Bechtel is responsible for managing and integrating the efforts of a team contractors engineering and building the facility. We are also managing procurement of about $1 Billion in goods and services.
Earth work began in 2023 and design and procurement of long-lead equipment is underway.
The project is located in the high desert and wide-open spaces of north-central Nevada about 25 miles from the Oregon border, 1 hour northwest of Winnemucca, Nevada and 3 hours northeast of Reno.
Planned with sustainability and the environment in mind, the facility will use its excess process heat to generate electricity and will recycle process water up to seven times. Once the second phase of the project is complete, Thacker Pass will produce more than 16 times the current U.S. output of lithium.

Louisiana LNG is located approximately 11 miles southwest of Lake Charles, Louisiana. The project includes a mid-scale, mixed-refrigerant Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) production and export facility on the west side of the Calcasieu River. There are five identical process plants. Each process plant consists of one gas pre-treatment unit, one condensate stabilization unit, and four Chart heavy hydrocarbon (HHC) removal and liquefaction groups. The facility will include associated utilities, refrigerant storage, three 235,000m3 full-containment LNG storage tanks, and three marine berths.
In this role, you will lead a team and supervise superintendents and/or craft professionals on a project. You will direct craft professional activities and work schedules, and coordinate subcontract work activities and team development. RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordination of P&L on project with large contract values (generally close to or over $1billion)
Mentor and train Project Accountants and Associate Project Accountants if applicable
Represent the company in owner and JV meetings and relations.
Manage all job and subcontractor-related duties listed below on mega projects:
Heavy involvement in cost forecasting
Coordination of owner billing
Develops strong relationship with project staff
Detailed review of all line items of cost report
Provide analytical information to project Operations team on individual jobs (Program Manager/Regional Operations Manager level)
Report issues and findings to Business Group Accounting Manager and project staff

QUALIFICATIONS
