Effectively lead and manage crew members' daily activities and production according to the project timeline, plans, specifications, codes and industry standards and provide the necessary training on proper safety and operational procedures. Primary Responsibilities and Duties
⢠Plan, coordinate and organize people, equipment, tools and materials to promote the safe, efficient and timely construction of the project.
⢠Ensure that construction equipment is correctly operated and maintained.
⢠Maintain accurate reporting records including job quantities, productivity rates, time sheets and daily management reports.
⢠May assist in developing a weekly schedule and in carrying out sequence of activities for assigned crew.
⢠Responsible for timely completion of work assignments within the estimated costs while maintaining the companyâs reputation for quality workmanship/product.
⢠Responsible for the safety of those on the crew and will conduct all operations according to all applicable company and government safety rules.
⢠Will develop and maintain a proper crew attitude by conducting toolbox meetings and communicating safety concerns, work scope, plans and schedules to leadmen and crews.
⢠Monitor compliance by all employees under his/her supervision with all Company policies
Qualifications
⢠May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area.
⢠Ability to demonstrate thorough knowledge and skill to perform all essential functions of craft workers under his/her supervision.
⢠Ability to perform task planning to safely and efficiently carry out all aspects of work assigned, train/ teach safety practices, policies and procedures.
⢠Have a working knowledge of the scheduling, material control and unit manhour performance, estimating fundamentals and job cost management systems.
⢠Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with craft workers under his/her supervision and management/supervision.
⢠Must be a good communicator, motivator, and team player.

⢠The person in this position needs to constantly move about a construction/industrial site, so should be able to stand, walk, sit, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl
⢠Constantly works in a construction environment and will be exposed to changing outdoor weather conditions
⢠Work irregular hours, weekends, overtime and holidays as required
⢠May be required to use ladders/mechanical platforms/manlifts/scaffold to access required equipment/work areas (may exceed 200 feet), so must be able to climb and maintain balance on formwork, steel formwork, stairs, ladders and scaffolds
⢠Move and work in and around confined and cluttered places, and uneven surfaces
⢠Must be able to complete tasks in a noisy and dusty environment

Job Description
The purpose of this position is to oversee and direct the performance of all field construction activities for assigned craft areas in conformance with plans, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates. The position requires an authoritative knowledge of assigned work, an holistic grasp of complex situations, the ability to assess the overall picture and alternative approaches to project objectives. With command, this position directs other line supervision as necessary in their roles to meet or exceed all project objectives. This position is typically responsible for numerous crafts, very large or multiple areas, and/or large numbers of craftsmen, multiple shifts; and often including direct oversight or coordination of other contractors/subcontractors.
⢠Plan and direct the work activities for assigned construction crafts in alignment with available engineering deliverables, tools, construction equipment, and materials
⢠Approve or authorize the coordination of craft personnel, material, and equipment needed to meet schedules; typically responsible to establish construction crew organization and composition including craftsmen qualification level, foremen and general foremen
⢠Directly support project and construction management with planning and utilization of proper means and methods for all construction activities

Broad Function
The Commercial Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for commercial and industrial projects. This position interprets plan sets, orthographic and isometric drawings, and detailed engineer specifications while applying industry standards and manufacturer datasheets to develop reliable take-offs and proposals.
Essential Functions
· Promote, demonstrate, and instill Brockâs Bsafe and Bbest culture in all aspects of the business
· Review and analyze drawings, orthographic/isometric plans, and specifications to determine project requirements.
· Perform detailed labor, material, and equipment take-offs, including preferred use of MIKEâs VTO6 system.
· Interpret product datasheets and detailed engineer specifications for scope accuracy.
· Apply knowledge of NIA Standards, IIAR Insulation Standards, and PIP Standards in the estimating process.
· Solicit and evaluate vendor/subcontractor pricing for materials and services.
· Prepare and present competitive cost estimates, budgets, and proposals.
· Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and operations during preconstruction and bid review.
· Maintain accurate estimating logs, bid schedules, and historical cost data.
· Consult with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues

Working Conditions:
Part of the time you will work in a typical office environment, the remainder of the time you will be on construction job sites. When on construction job sites you will encounter typical construction conditions including extreme temperatures, noise, dust, mud debris, welding, leading edge, trenching, and shoring, sometimes in a confined space. You may be required to visit multiple locations during any one day.
Salary Range: $21.00 - $25.00/hour

About this Role
Taylorâs Construction, a Quanta Services company, is seeking an experienced Safety Director to lead the companyâs safety strategy and programs across telecommunications and utility construction operations. This role is responsible for establishing consistent safety expectations, developing field leadership, and ensuring employees have the training, tools, and processes necessary to perform their work safely.
The Safety Director will work closely with executive leadership, operations, field management, and safety personnel to identify and reduce operational risk, strengthen safety performance, and maintain compliance across aerial and underground fiber construction, directional drilling, excavation, splicing, utility pole installation, and related field activities.
What You'll Do
- Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of company-wide safety programs, policies, procedures, and field expectations.
- Partner with operations and field leadership to identify high-risk activities, strengthen pre-job planning, and integrate safety into daily construction execution.
- Provide safety leadership across the organization while building ownership and accountability among supervisors, foremen, and craft employees.
- Conduct and oversee field audits, jobsite assessments, and operational reviews across aerial, underground, HDD, excavation, and telecommunications construction activities.

Equipment Operator
Summary Responsible for operating a stationary or traveling Forklift to lift, move, position, and reposition loads. Depresses buttons, lifts levers, and ensures load is safely loaded to Forklift before making any lift. - Operate standup or sit-down Forklift under general supervision.
- Manipulate or depress cane controls to regulate speed and direction of Forklift and hoist movement according to written, verbal, or signal instructions.
- Report repairs for Forklift as needed.
- Inspect Forklift for safety issues daily.
- Determine if any parts are malfunctioning.
- Cleans, maintains, and lubricates equipment.
