Thacker Pass is the largest known lithium resource in the United States. Once complete, the mine and processing facilities will produce more lithium carbonate than any other facility in the United States by far â enough to power 1 million electric vehicles per year.
As the EPCM contractor for Lithium Americas, Bechtel is responsible for managing and integrating the efforts of a team contractors engineering and building the facility. We are also managing procurement of about $1 Billion in goods and services.
Earth work began in 2023 and design and procurement of long-lead equipment is underway.
The project is located in the high desert and wide-open spaces of north-central Nevada about 25 miles from the Oregon border, 1 hour northwest of Winnemucca, Nevada and 3 hours northeast of Reno.
Planned with sustainability and the environment in mind, the facility will use its excess process heat to generate electricity and will recycle process water up to seven times. Once the second phase of the project is complete, Thacker Pass will produce more than 16 times the current U.S. output of lithium.

In this role, you will be responsible for material management activities for a project or jobsite. You will ensure conformance to corporate policies including the receipt, inspection, storage, inventory control, physical security, and issue of materials and equipment. You will monitor employee utilization, work hours, and staffing. Your efforts will help ensure accurate, efficient, and timely material management. #LI-NP1
⢠Strong knowledge of warehouse and materials management processes, including receiving, inspection, storage, inventory control, and issuance of materials and equipment.
⢠Familiarity with material tracking systems (e.g., MRR, delivery tracking tools, or equivalent systems).
⢠Experience with warehouse and laydown operations, including outdoor storage strategies, material protection, and layout planning
⢠Proficiency in inventory management systems and reporting tools (e.g., SiteSense, DSCS, or equivalent supply chain systems) to ensure data accuracy and traceability
⢠Analytical skills to monitor inventory accuracy, identify discrepancies, and drive corrective actions
Key Qualification Factors (3â5):
⢠Field experience in materials management or warehouse/laydown operations on EPC or large industrial construction projects
⢠Demonstrated experience supervising teams and managing field operations, including workforce productivity and safety compliance

Lead Estimators are responsible for the development of CSI Division and Uniformat estimates and all estimating forms and formats for both the conceptual estimate and final bid. They are responsible to the senior estimator for the development of pricing strategies and specific purchasing methodology for major projects. It is the responsibility of the lead estimator to develop a working relationship with trade partner principals and estimating departments. The project is a 1.3 GW simple-cycle power generation facility located in Millersport, Ohio, being constructed adjacent to a hyperscale data center campus. The facility includes multiple power generation technologies consisting of Solar Titan 130 gas turbines, Siemens SGT800 gas turbines, reciprocating engines, battery energy storage systems (BESS), substations, and associated balance of plant infrastructure.
The scope includes major civil, mechanical, electrical, structural, underground utility, control systems, and commissioning works required to support phased energization and turnover of the facility. Construction will be executed through a combination of direct hire and subcontracted labor supported by modularization, pre-assembly, offsite warehousing, and advanced work packaging methodologies.
Supports field execution of underground mechanical piping systems, above ground piping installation, prefabricated spool installation, welding activities, pressure testing, and reinstatement works. The Planning Manager provides strategic leadership, direction, and governance for all engineering and construction planning and scheduling activities supporting the execution of the project.
