About this Role
PAR Electric is seeking a Scheduler to support the Project Controls Manager in planning, developing, maintaining, and analyzing project schedules across complex utility and infrastructure projects. This role plays a critical part in ensuring projects are executed efficiently, on time, and in alignment with contractual and operational requirements.
The Scheduler will collaborate closely with project management, field operations, engineering, and estimating teams to develop accurate schedules and provide schedule-related analysis throughout the project lifecycle.
What You'll Do
- Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules from project award through closeout
- Support the Project Controls Manager in schedule planning, progress tracking, and performance reporting
- Work with project teams to define activities, logic, durations, and resource loading
- Monitor schedule progress and identify potential delays, risks, and mitigation strategies
- Perform schedule impact analyses and support change management efforts
- Prepare schedule updates, narratives, and reports for internal leadership and clients
- Coordinate with field teams to validate progress and forecast upcoming work
- Ensure schedules align with project budgets, scope, and contractual milestones
- Maintain schedule integrity in accordance with PAR Electric and client standards
- Up to 10% travel to support projects, collaboration, and field engagement as needed
What You'll Bring

Position Description:
The Project Manager (PM) is the company's “management representative” to the various stakeholders on the project (e.g., owner, design team, trade partner management, AHJs, etc.) and is responsible for the safe completion of their projects within budget, on schedule, to the company's quality standards and to the customer's satisfaction. The PM has the authority to take the required actions to achieve these objectives, and to ensure all project activities are consistent with contract documents and the company’s policies.
The PM and PS work as a complementary team to plan and build the project. The PM's first responsibility is to support the effectiveness of the PS and the project staff. Generally, the PM will concentrate on long-term planning, scheduling and the identification and resolution of possible “roadblocks” and “pitfalls” which could have an impact on the project. The PM is responsible for ensuring that all logistical support is completed in a timely manner so that the PS can concentrate on the daily and weekly direction of the company's resources and coordination of trade partners.
Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Engineering, or similar field with a minimum of five to ten years commercial design-build project management or construction management experience.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License.
- Solid problem-solving skills.
- Exhibits consistent and competent judgement.
- Ability to work independently and with other team members.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- High attention to detail while working under deadlines and managing multiple priorities.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office skills, Primavera P6 or Asta, Prolog and Bluebeam.

Essential Duties:
- The primary responsibility for job safety rests with the PS, but it is the PM's responsibility to:
- Ensure safety is properly incorporated into job planning and execution.
- Promote accountability among staff members and trade partners as it relates to the project safety policies.
- Enforce these policies by actively participating in all safety-related functions.
- The PM manages pre-job planning activities and coordinates the mobilization effort and start-up activities. This includes personnel planning, the project schedule, procurement of trade partners and vendors, deployment of technology and similar activities as defined in the Book of 14.
- Job purchasing and contracting is the responsibility of the project manager and is performed in collaboration with the Estimating department and project team.
- The PM is the primary company representative at the project site and point of contact for the owner. The PM will maintain open communications with all project stakeholders and work to resolve issues in a collaborative and efficient manner.
- Project costs and schedule progress are carefully monitored by the PM. Frequent reviews of job reports are used in the preparation of the monthly margin analysis. The PM must carefully analyze cost and schedule metrics and initiate course corrections, as appropriate.
- The PM supports the PS in the execution of the project quality control plan. The PM must ensure a QC plan is set up for the project and that a qualified commissioning team is created to support commissioning efforts. Establish the project quality expectations during the purchasing meeting and then follow up throughout the QC process.
- The PM is responsible for trade partner management and issue resolution. The PM should look for opportunities to support the project schedule and ensure trade partner success.
- Mentor, train and develop salary personnel in all aspects of their careers. Provide timely feedback and ensure that employees participate in the performance review process.

The Role
The Project Manager manages all facets of a construction program, including development, coordination, and implementation of a program schedule to ensure programs are completed on time, within budget, and ensure or surpass expected quality. The Project Manager must serve as a leader of the construction program, liaising between team members and clients, on all matters. The value of projects will vary based on contract type and overall complexity but in general the position will oversee projects ranging from $2,000 to $1,000,000.
Qualifications:
4+ yearsâ experience in the construction industry with a commercial or industrial general contractor
Previous experience managing and coordinating multiple projects, subcontractors, and vendors simultaneously
Experience with civil/site work, site utilities, and structures is a plus
Proficient in producing detailed fixed price estimates; has the ability to use RS Means or other published unit price books to produce detailed line-item estimates
Possess effective negotiating skills
Resource Management; to include operations support staff, vendors, subcontractors, and time

Scheduling: Develops and maintains project schedules with superintendents for use by customer and subcontractors
Business Development: Contacts new and existing customers to discuss needs and understand the full potential of framework agreements, in order to propose solutions, identify improvements, enhance customer service and retention, and grow business
Safety: Ensures compliance with Centennialâs Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) guidelines and procedures along with all local requirements (OSHA, USACE EM385.1.1, etc.)
Responsible for driving between project sites that are often miles apart or miles from the assigned office location.
Occasional travel may be required.

What You'll Do
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, including project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines. Identify and allocate necessary resources, both human and material, to ensure successful project execution. Coordinate and manage the project team including subcontractors. Review and negotiate client contracts including terms and conditions, dates, and services. Monitor optimum utilization of resources including labor, materials, and equipment. Quantify cost and/or schedule impacts associated with changes in project design and construction and notify all project stakeholders of the changes.
- Collaborative Leadership: Establish strong relationships with clients and other project stakeholders. Proactively address client concerns, provide exceptional customer service, and ensure client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle. Support the IME culture of safety.
