Hoffman Steel Services is seeking a Project Engineer to join our team. This individual will be an integral, onsite member of the Engineering Department, supporting the full lifecycle of a hyper-scale data center construction project. The Project Engineer will play a vital role in championing on-site shop drawing review, schedule and delivery, quality efforts, supporting our affiliates, and collaborating with a broad range of project stakeholders.
As a front-line technical resource, you will work closely with design professionals, clients, trade contractors, and craftspeople to address complex coordination challenges. The Project Engineer (PE) is responsible for all on-site project administration and for management of the office engineers and jobsite administrator. The PE has direct responsibility for project financials, planning and scheduling, for supervision of personnel and for completion of tasks required to fulfill the project's goals. The Project Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating all necessary project resources and documentation throughout the entire project lifecycle. In this hybrid role, you will work closely with a small team on a dynamic and challenging Capitol Project scope of work in a live operating LNG facility by providing Supply Chain support and be involved in all facets of the Bechtel Supply Chain Process.
Performs field purchasing duties, bid solicitation, bid analyses, planning, negotiation and commitment of purchase orders for Project Plant Support Services (PSS). Administers field purchase orders following commitments. Solicits and evaluates budgetary quote requests to support project estimates.
